We upskill Samvedna women in three main areas:
- Employment: our supported women learn textile, sewing and dressmaking skills. This provides them job opportunities within the Samvedna Handmade
- Educational skills: including learning English, computer technology skills and paperwork skills to manage financial budgeting.
- Personal growth: self-refinery workshops that target various areas physical and mental health, confidence and empowerment.
Currently Samvedna has around 23 women they employ full-part time. 48 women in total that includes the rural women they contract for piece work. They are currently in the process of creating and perfecting a design and pattern for reusable sanitary pads.
