Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how Samvedna Connecting Souls handles requests relating to accidental, duplicate, incorrect or otherwise disputed donations and contributions made through our website or authorised payment channels.

Last Updated: 5 October 2026

Samvedna Connecting Souls is a registered trust based in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. Donations and voluntary contributions received by Samvedna help support our charitable, educational, community, women empowerment, well-being, skill development and environmental initiatives. We value the trust of every supporter and aim to handle genuine payment concerns fairly and transparently.

1. Donations & Voluntary Contributions

Donations and voluntary contributions made to Samvedna Connecting Souls are generally considered final once they have been successfully processed.

This is because contributions may be allocated towards charitable programmes, community activities and legitimate organisational requirements after they are received.

However, we understand that genuine payment errors can occur. In appropriate circumstances, a donor may contact us and request that a transaction be reviewed for a possible refund.

2. Circumstances That May Be Reviewed

A refund request may be considered where there is a genuine and reasonably verifiable payment issue. Examples include:

Duplicate Payment

The same donation or contribution was accidentally processed more than once.

Incorrect Amount

A donor accidentally entered or paid an amount different from the amount they intended to contribute.

Technical Error

A payment issue occurred because of a genuine technical or processing error that can reasonably be verified.

Unauthorised Transaction

A transaction is reported as unauthorised and sufficient information is available for the matter to be reviewed.

Please note: The existence of one of the circumstances above does not automatically guarantee a refund. Each request will be reviewed individually based on the available transaction information and applicable payment, banking and legal requirements.

3. Donations That Are Generally Non-Refundable

A successfully completed voluntary donation or contribution will generally not be refunded merely because the donor later changes their mind.

Refunds may also not be available where:

  • The contribution was knowingly and voluntarily made for Samvedna's charitable work and no payment error occurred.
  • The funds have already been committed or applied towards the intended charitable purpose and no exceptional circumstances exist.
  • The information provided in support of the refund request cannot reasonably establish the transaction or the claimed error.
  • The request appears fraudulent, misleading or inconsistent with the available transaction records.
  • A refund would conflict with applicable law, banking requirements, payment-provider rules or another legal or regulatory obligation.

4. How to Request a Refund

If you believe that a genuine payment error has occurred, please contact Samvedna Connecting Souls as soon as reasonably possible after becoming aware of the issue.

You can send your request to:

Phone: +91 8126217401

Send us the details of the transaction and explain the reason for your refund request.

02

We will review the information available in our records and, where necessary, payment gateway or banking records.

03
Review of Request

The circumstances of the payment and the reason for the request will be reviewed.

04
Refund Processing

If approved, the refund will ordinarily be initiated through the appropriate payment channel or original payment method where reasonably possible.

5. Information Required for a Refund Request

To help us identify and review a transaction, we may ask you to provide relevant information such as:

  • Donor's name.
  • Email address or phone number used for the transaction.
  • Date of payment.
  • Amount paid.
  • Transaction ID, payment ID, UTR or other available payment reference.
  • Reason for requesting the refund.
  • Evidence reasonably necessary to verify a duplicate, incorrect or disputed payment.

For your security: Please do not send your complete card number, CVV, UPI PIN, OTP, internet-banking password or other confidential banking credentials to Samvedna.

6. Review & Approval of Refund Requests

Every refund request is subject to verification and review. Samvedna may check the relevant transaction information and may request additional details where reasonably necessary.

Approval of a refund depends on the circumstances of the transaction, the information available, the status of the payment and any applicable payment-provider, banking, accounting, legal or regulatory requirements.

Submission of a refund request does not by itself create an automatic entitlement to a refund.

Where a request cannot be verified or does not fall within circumstances reasonably warranting a refund, Samvedna may decline the request.

7. Refund Processing

If a refund request is approved, Samvedna will initiate the refund through the appropriate payment channel and, where reasonably possible, to the original payment method used for the transaction.

The time required for a refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI provider or other financial institution involved in the transaction.

Once an approved refund has been initiated by Samvedna, any additional processing time required by an independent bank or payment provider is outside our direct control.

8. Failed, Pending or Debited Transactions

In some cases, a payment attempt may fail or remain pending even though an amount appears to have been debited from the donor's account.

Such transactions may be automatically reversed by the bank or payment service provider without Samvedna receiving the contribution.

If your account has been debited but you have not received confirmation of a successful contribution, please first check your bank or payment application's transaction status.

You may also contact us with the transaction reference so that we can check the payment status available to us.

Where Samvedna has not actually received the funds, any reversal or resolution may need to be handled by the relevant bank, payment gateway or payment service provider.

9. Unauthorised or Fraudulent Transactions

If you believe that a payment made to Samvedna was unauthorised, please contact us promptly with the relevant transaction details.

You should also contact your bank, card issuer, UPI provider or other relevant payment service provider immediately so that they can advise you regarding security, dispute or chargeback procedures applicable to your account.

Samvedna may cooperate with legitimate enquiries from payment providers, banks or competent authorities in accordance with applicable requirements.

10. Cancellation of Donations

A one-time donation or contribution generally cannot be cancelled after it has been successfully processed.

If an online payment has not yet been successfully completed, you may simply discontinue the payment process.

If Samvedna introduces any recurring donation facility in the future, the applicable cancellation method and recurring-payment terms will be communicated with that facility.

At present, this policy should not be interpreted as creating a recurring payment arrangement unless such an arrangement is expressly selected and authorised by the donor.

11. Contributions for a Specific Cause

Where a contribution is made for a specific charitable cause, programme or campaign, Samvedna will make reasonable efforts to apply the contribution towards the stated purpose.

If a refund is requested after funds have already been committed or utilised for that purpose, the request may not be capable of being approved except where required by applicable law or justified by exceptional circumstances.

12. Payment Gateway & Banking Services

Online contributions may be processed using independent third-party payment service providers, including Razorpay, together with banks, UPI systems, card networks and other payment participants.

Payment processing, settlement, reversals and approved refunds may therefore also be subject to the operational procedures and applicable terms of those independent providers.

Samvedna Connecting Souls cannot control delays, technical failures or processing periods that occur solely within an independent banking or payment network.

13. Changes to This Policy

Samvedna Connecting Souls may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our payment facilities, organisational practices, programmes or applicable requirements.

Any updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
